I purchased this generator for my subcontract. So far it has proven outstanding when called on. I have my well, barn, pasture electric, refridgeration, etc. on it and it performed like a champ. Final wintertime we were 1 of the but homes with almost total power after an ice storm, and I aspect this to Honda technology. Had all the neighbors over for breakfast, since most of them did not have power to cook.

I ordered the unit and it took 26 days to arrive. Associates was straightforward and the fit and stop was fine. Hooked the unit up to a manual switch and it was underpowered for the house. After much endeavor, it was clear that the generator pumped out a solid 100 volts ac, not 120. Information technology couldn't fifty-fifty run a handtool at total power. HMMM.... 10,000 watts, eh? Next came Porter Cable NATIONAL service. It took them 48 hours to respond and when they did, information technology was basically to say its not their trouble -endeavour the local service center to meet if they fix generators. The local service place was more than sympathetic, but that doesn't put power in your lines. I am probably going to exist stuck lugging a 350 lb. make new generator to come across if they tin can find out what's wrong. I'll give the generator 2 stars on looks alone. Just I would much prefer a generator that is useable and that has a service crew that is even minimally interested in helping. One style or another I will get this thing to work, but for something that costs over $2ooo, I would have expected a generator that had been inspected by someone other than me.

This generator does everything in the business firm at the same time; well, heat, washer, dryer, 2 Refrigerator, i Freezer and all of our lights. In order for me to understand what our needs were I converted our 200 amps (breaker panel) into 22,000 watts needed to ability everything at the same time (If y'all where maxing out all the breakers at the aforementioned fourth dimension), which you don't practice. So I knew that 19500 watts surge would work peachy. Certain enough we lost power v weeks after getting the generator and in doing so I switched over to using information technology. Everything worked like a amuse. Anybody else was out for 5 hours we were not. My wife and I think this was a great investment.

I needed a generator for farm use that would also be big enough to power my home in Jackson, MS in the event of another conditions disaster. I have a big home powered by two separate AC units, then required 10,000 watts minimum. Also, subsequently conferring with over a dozen people who purchased dissimilar generators subsequently Katrina, I knew it had to be powered by Honda.
None of local warehouse stores (Home Depot, Lowes, etc.) carried annihilation nearly big enough and then my internet research focused on Honda-powered generators exclusively. This bad boy fits the bill perfectly. The folks at Amazon were very helpful and it arrived two days earlier than they said it would. No problems at all with setup and it runs like a dream. I've already used information technology to ability a heavy duty stick welder and associated equipment in the deep backwoods. Beware, though -- it a very heavy piece of equipment which actually requires a dedicated trailer.

I used this during ii hurricanes and was fantabulous for getting my unabridged house up and running. I was able to use everything in the house including my central air-conditioner.
